Three Spring trends that I am ALL about!
Dots. Lavender. And of course – animal print.
And what’s better than having only TWO essential wardrobe pieces that you can style multiple ways!
I love mixing a trend with classic pieces and closet staples. It’s not about how much you have in your closet, but how you utilize what you do have!
You can invest in a few more “trendy” prints or tops per season – and voila – combine with what you already have – and you’ve freshened up your wardrobe without breaking the bank.
Hope these ways to wear inspire you to mix some classic pieces you already have in your closet with some fun trends for spring.
First, DOTS!
I took this adorable polka dot top (fits true to size!) and paired it with my favorite, most flattering medium wash denim and sneakers with a leather jacket. Then, with a pair of black denim that I adore (sized down one!), and lastly, with distressed denim, pumps, and a blazer!
I took off the blazer and traded in some blush bow mules for a totally different look, and then paired it with possibly my most favorite fitting jeans of all time (true to size and did the “short”), the most COMFORTABLE little jacket (true to size), and a classic pair of nude flats that go with everything (also true to size)!
Next up – LAVENDER and ANIMAL PRINT!

I went a little crazy and styled it with some looks that could go with both the animal print/blush side AND the lavender side! It was so fun and sort of addicting!
First up – a super effortlessly casual and equally parts chic – look. Distressed denim, a basic black tee, and a pair of sneakers! Threw in a headband for some added fun 🙂
Leave the jacket on or pop it off and wear it over your shoulders!
Next up – the best fitting denim with a basic cami (I have this one in three colors because it’s such a great staple!). Throw on a pair of nude booties and it’s a perfectly fashionable transition into spring!
I love this look! A pair of light wash denim with a busted knee, a great pair of pointy mules, and the same exact cami as I was wearing above! You see how it looks so different when you change out what you’re wearing on the bottom!
This is the same look, but with a pair of nude flats in case you’re not in the heel kind of mood 🙂
How about that all black look while you let the jacket do the talking. There’s something about all black that is just so CHIC! When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with all black. This is the most affordable, best fitting black denim that I’ve found and I’m wearing a great pink shoe, but you could do black, nude, white, or if you have a pretty purple shoe – that would be so fun, too!
And let’s not forget about summer and upcoming vacations! If you have any little white/black/blush dress – this is the perfect little addition to throw over your shoulders at night when there’s a little chill. And what’s so great is that it’s SO lightweight that it won’t take up much room in your suitcase 🙂 Pair with your favorite pair of sandals (I’m obsessed with these!!!) and you are vacation ready!
And last, but certainly not least – wear with a little t-shirt dress and sneakers! This was a $10 dress from Forever 21 a few years ago (lol) but just shows how you can take a lower price point piece and class is up with a great closet staple. And sneakers are the cutest way to finish off the look, comfortably.
